FAQ
What does the content score measure?
The 0-100 score evaluates six areas: whether your title promise is delivered, pacing consistency, story structure (hook, problem, solution, payoff), CTA placement, value density (how much actionable content vs. filler), and engagement hooks throughout the video. Each area is weighted and combined into an overall grade from A+ to F.
How are retention risk zones identified?
The AI reads your transcript and identifies moments where the content is likely to lose viewers: tangents, slow pacing, repetitive sections, or missing transitions. Each zone includes a timestamp, risk level (high, medium, or low), a reason for the risk, and a specific fix you can apply.
Does my video need to have captions or a transcript?
Yes. The tool fetches the video transcript from YouTube. Most videos have auto-generated captions, so the vast majority of uploads will work. If your video has no captions at all, you will see an error message.
What is a good content score to aim for?
Anything above 70 is strong. Scores of 80 and up are exceptional. Most YouTube videos land between 40 and 55. Focus on your weakest category first for the biggest improvement to viewer retention and watch time.
Can I use this to analyze competitor videos?
Absolutely. Paste any public YouTube video URL to see how their content is structured, where their pacing is strong or weak, and what engagement techniques they use. This is one of the best ways to learn what works in your niche.
